High School Boys (16/18)
Our High School Boys Program accommodates all levels of players, experienced to novice. The players will focus on long term athlete development, learn basic water polo skills and further develop their game fundamentals. Placement of an athlete on the Orange or Blue team is determined by the coaches, and placement is fluid as players develop and grow at different rates throughout the season. The coaching staff will place players on Orange or Blue teams for tournaments in an effort to allow them the most playing time at the highest level of competition possible for each team.
Orange (elite): Our 16u will be given a required amount of conditioning to be completed weekly; as well as, required amount of time to be spent on center/center defense training. These athletes will further develop their fundamental skills, as well as begin to work on specific plays, and defensive strategies. Scrimmages and tournaments are in addition to their regular scheduled practices.
Blue (advanced): All advanced programs from 12u-18u will be given a required amount of conditioning to be completed weekly; as well as, required amount of time to be spent on center/center defense training. They will continue to focus on development of fundamental skills, and compete in scrimmages or tournaments that give them the best opportunities to grow as athletes and acheive their goals.
All tournaments will be posted on the events page for the 16U Boys at the beginning of the session. There will be scrimmage and tournament opportunities outside of the regular practice schedule. It is important to attend as many of these events as possible to improve your athletes skills and ability to compete in a formal, officiated environment. Also, it is fun!
