Our mission here at Huntington Beach Water Polo Club is to develop each water polo player to be the best athlete and person they can be. We accomplish this through teaching the athletes hard work, dedication, and mental toughness. We are committed to providing the highest level of training and competition, while maintaining a positive coaching atmosphere.
We believe that Water Polo is one of the most physically demanding and mentally exhausting of all team sports. Competing in our water polo program will develop the mental, physical and emotional strength of all the athletes involved. We will teach discipline, dedication, perseverance, commitment, accountability and competitive drive. As much as all of us love to win and are competitors, we truly believe that regardless of win/loss record, every athlete that comes through Huntinton Beach Water Polo Club will become a better person based on the lessons they learn.
We strive to create a positive learning experience for all players, we believe that a true club is built very similar to a family with athletes supporting each other, and coaches leading from the front rather than directing from the back. Our goal is to help every player get in to college, and to give them the tools to be successful in their life after water polo.
We are committed to creating athletes that are champions both in and out of the water. Our belief is that a champion is a player to strives for excellence in academics, athletics, and personal character. We believe this excellence includes a firm commitment to the physical and emotional strength, dedication to sportsmanship and fair play, the development of individual and team skills, giving maximum effort, the will to win and conducting yourself in a way that bring praise to the club, and community.
